The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Tzien closes the distance and clinches.
Tzien jumps guard and drags Laperierre to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Tzien manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Laperierre manages to get himself to full guard.

We've been informed that Laperierre has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Tzien takes a little break here. Laperierre wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Tzien has hold of Laperierre's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Laperierre tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tzien cranks the arm and Laperierre screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Laperierre, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Hratch Tzien spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. |
