Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aramis Knox (ranked 1569 p4p, 2057 weight class) and Axel Foley (ranked 215 p4p, 262 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Foley's choice of entrance music: Beverly Hills Cop Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foley slips under a jab from Knox.
Knox avoids the body shot from Foley.
Knox wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Knox misses the shot to the body.

Knox rushes Foley and presses him up against the cage.
A short left from Foley.
Knox keeps control of Foley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Knox lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Knox fails to pull guard.
Foley pushes Knox back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Knox throws a punch but it's blocked by Foley.
Knox misses with a punch on the inside.
Knox tries to pull guard but Foley won't allow it.
Knox jumps guard but Foley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aramis Knox. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Foley tries to work over Knox's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Knox is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Foley defends well.

Knox has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Foley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knox. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Foley content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Knox has locked up a guillotine! Knox's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Foley is holding on here and Knox must be using up a lot of energy. Foley has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Knox gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

A relieved looking Aramis Knox thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
