Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lee Huang (ranked 2242 p4p, 3296 weight class) and Jhonny Sparks (ranked 235 p4p, 320 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Huang avoids it really well and circles away.

Sparks shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Huang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sparks on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sparks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Huang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sparks is controlling the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A low kick lands for Huang.
Sparks throws out a loose jab but Huang uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Huang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've been informed that Sparks has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Sparks takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Jhonny Sparks has been cut.

Huang gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sparks is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Huang is defending well.

Huang creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Sparks with a big uppercut! Sparks tries to clinch up but Huang pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Sparks to the mat! Sparks covers up and Huang unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
