Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bengan Bengtsson (ranked 5210 p4p, 5049 weight class) and Benjamin Shark (ranked 420 p4p, 414 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bengan Bengtsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benjamin Shark!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shark gets a double leg takedown into Bengtsson's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bengtsson is on top in guard.

Bengtsson is stalling in the full guard.
Shark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bengtsson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shark controls Bengtsson momentarily but Bengtsson frees himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bengtsson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bengtsson is stalling in the full guard.
Shark wants to hit a sweep here but Bengtsson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Shark there!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shark is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bengtsson moves to the back position.

Bengtsson throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Bengtsson is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Shark up.
Shark wants to escape the position.
I would not like to be Shark right now.
Shark is trying to stand back up.
Bengtsson throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

That's time! Bengtsson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Shark takes the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Bengtsson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Shark changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bengtsson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Shark swings around for an armbar but Bengtsson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Shark's guard.

Bengtsson stands up from Shark's guard - Bengtsson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Shark tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bengtsson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Benjamin Shark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shark moves into range and clinches up with Bengtsson.
Shark is working for takedown but Bengtsson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Shark is trying to pull guard but Bengtsson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Bengtsson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Shark wants a takedown.
Bengan Bengtsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benjamin Shark.

Shark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bengtsson avoids the head kick by Shark.
Bengan Bengtsson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shark dives in and grabs Bengtsson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bengtsson pushes down on Shark's head and hops out.
Bengtsson is looking to counter punch.
Bengtsson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Benjamin Shark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Shark walks into a jab.
Shark shoots in for a takedown but Bengtsson shows good takedown defense.

Shark rushes Bengtsson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bengtsson trying to control the position but instead, Shark has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bengtsson into the cage.
Shark blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Shark jumps guard but Bengtsson stands there with Shark around his waist. Shark gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bengtsson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shark can do to turn this around?

Bengtsson cracks Shark with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Shark throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Shark looks for a takedown but Bengtsson sprawls well.
Nice defenses there by Shark.

Bengtsson misses with a few strikes there.
Bengtsson lands a two punch combo.
Shark shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bengtsson as he avoids it easily.
Bengtsson is looking for a counter combo.
Shark throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bengtsson avoids the head kick by Shark.
Shark fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Shark throws a lazy head kick
and Bengtsson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Shark is breathing heavily.
Bengtsson circles away from the clinch attempt

and Bengtsson counters with a nice right hand that sends Shark toppling to the canvas! Shark scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Bengtsson finish him?!

Shark is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shark doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bengtsson counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Shark falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
