PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jomar Habbestano (ranked 24036 p4p, 3539 weight class) and Kin Okuma (ranked 617 p4p, 465 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Habbestano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye Of The Tiger. Kin Okuma will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jomar Habbestano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kin Okuma!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Habbestano with a poor takedown
and Okuma counters with a nice body kick.
Okuma throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Habbestano takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Habbestano throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Okuma's waist but Okuma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Habbestano off to one side.
Okuma works Habbestano's body with a nice hook.
Habbestano's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Okuma connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Habbestano scrambles back to his feet.
Okuma lands a nice looking body shot.
Okuma scores with a kick to the body.
Okuma digs a good hook to Habbestano's body.
Habbestano is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Habbestano on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Okuma moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Okuma lands a nice looking body shot.
Okuma fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Habbestano.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Habbestano.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jomar Habbestano. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Okuma cracks Habbestano with a right hand to the side of the head.
Okuma lets loose with a powerful body kick. Habbestano will feel that in the morning.
Okuma wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Nice body kick there by Okuma.
Okuma works the jab nicely.
Okuma's coach down at Gym Goroshi London was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Okuma's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Okuma connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Okuma lands a big head kick that sends Habbestano tumbling to the mat! Okuma takes a step backwards and waves Habbestano back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Habbestano is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okuma feints and then cracks Habbestano's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Habbestano down.
Oh Habbestano is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Okuma lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Okuma lands a front kick.
Habbestano seems to have got his legs back now.
Okuma is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Habbestano hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
