Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Shima (ranked 83 p4p, 203 weight class) and Eemeli Lampi (ranked 14 p4p, 30 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by C. R. E. A. M. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lampi throws out the jab.

Shima was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Lampi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lampi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It looked like Shima was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lampi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shima seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lampi throws the left hand but Shima avoids the punch easily.

Shima uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lampi has time to react.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lampi clobbers Shima with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Shima doesn't manage to clinch there - Lampi circles away.
Shima takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lampi misses with an attempted mid kick.
A little feinted left hand from Shima on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lampi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shima on the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hero Shima will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lampi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A punch lands to the side of Lampi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lampi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shima.
Lampi gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Shima gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

After winning the bout, Hero Shima thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
