The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OMalley scores with a nice right hand.
OMalley cracks Johnson with an open hand slap.
OMalley stalks Johnson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Johnson's face. Johnson staggers backwards, shaken.
OMalley lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by OMalley.
OMalley throws a lazy head kick
and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in OMalley's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

OMalley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!

Johnson lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can OMalley hold on?!
Johnson connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for OMalley to escape the position.

OMalley pushes Johnson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Johnson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
OMalley takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OMalley wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is dominant here and he's now got OMalley's back!
