Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pepper Brooks (ranked 1661 p4p, 3025 weight class) and Shi Woo Lee (ranked 188 p4p, 299 weight class). Brooks's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Pump Up The Jam. Shi Woo Lee told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks tries to clinch there but Lee circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lee! But no joy.
Brooks ducks under a wild hook from Lee.

and Brooks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

As Brooks backs off Lee throws a huge counter combo but Brooks manages to avoid it all.

Brooks displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lee up against the cage.

Brooks tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lee's elbow.
Brooks's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Brooks pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brooks is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

and Lee counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee cracks Brooks with a left hook right on the temple and Brooks goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Lee lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Brooks is OK!

In his post fight interview, Shi Woo Lee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
