Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Braga (ranked 4073 p4p, 4053 weight class) and Rey Mackaroy (ranked 532 p4p, 530 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiago Braga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rey Mackaroy!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mackaroy looks to score with a jab to the body but Braga is just out of range.
Mackaroy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Braga counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mackaroy wants to stand up but Braga is controlling him.
Mackaroy told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Braga drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Braga jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mackaroy wants to stand and escape but Braga is having none of it.

Braga thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Braga won't allow Mackaroy to get back to his feet.
Mackaroy keeping full guard, as Braga tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Braga is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mackaroy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mackaroy has escaped and now he's on top!

Braga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mackaroy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Braga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mackaroy defends it easily.

Braga looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mackaroy would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Braga working for a triangle but Mackaroy defends it easily.

Braga has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mackaroy should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Braga has tightened it up now! Mackaroy should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
