Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maurits Assndrop (ranked 132 p4p, 802 weight class) and Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu (ranked 6 p4p, 50 weight class). Fukumitsu has chosen you should see me in a crown as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 2, fighting out of New York, Maurits Assndrop!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukumitsu moves out of range as Assndrop throws a body kick.
Fukumitsu lands with a right hand.
Assndrop ducks under a wild hook from Fukumitsu.
Fukumitsu jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Assndrop throwing a counter right hand but Fukumitsu manages to avoid it.
Fukumitsu walks forward, straight into a front kick from Assndrop.
Fukumitsu digs a good hook to Assndrop's body.
Fukumitsu throws out a loose jab but Assndrop uses good head movement to avoid it.
Assndrop seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Fukumitsu tests Assndrop's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Assndrop moves away from the strike by Fukumitsu.
Fukumitsu's coach down at Gold Samurai's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fukumitsu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fukumitsu throws out a loose jab but Assndrop uses good head movement to avoid it.
Assndrop throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fukumitsu avoids it.
Assndrop gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fukumitsu.
Assndrop misses with an uppercut. Fukumitsu saw that one coming.
Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Assndrop chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fukumitsu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fukumitsu missing with a left hand there. Assndrop was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fukumitsu keeps the fight on the outside.
Fukumitsu misses with a hook.
Assndrop tries to clinch but Fukumitsu is having none of it.
Fukumitsu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Assndrop slips under a jab.
Fukumitsu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Assndrop staying out of range there.
Fukumitsu takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Assndrop lands a jab to the head.
Fukumitsu swings widly with a right hand
and Assndrop counters with an inside leg kick.
Fukumitsu throws a shot from downtown. Assndrop moves away and avoids it.
Fukumitsu blocks a head kick by Assndrop.
Assndrop throws a shot from downtown. Fukumitsu moves away and avoids it.
Assndrop's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fukumitsu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Assndrop scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Maurits Assndrop has been cut.
Decent striking displayed by Fukumitsu there.
Fukumitsu drops Assndrop with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Assndrop looks back up at him and smiles so Fukumitsu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Assndrop is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fukumitsu throws a pinpoint strike between Assndrop's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Assndrop crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Fukumitsu scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu!
Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu is the new bantamweight champion!
