Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Liu (ranked 5523 p4p, 4523 weight class) and David Alpin (ranked 529 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Liu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Alpin!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu moves in looking to clinch but Alpin pushes him off.
Liu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Liu tries to clinch but Alpin moves out of range.
Alpin connects with a body shot that sends Liu's belly button to the back.
Liu moves into range and connects with a jab.
Liu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alpin pinned against the cage. Alpin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Alpin clinches up with Liu and pushes him back against the cage.
Alpin lands a hook that snaps the head of Liu backwards.
Liu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alpin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Liu is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alpin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Liu clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alpin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Liu.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alpin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Alpin is continuing to stall.
The adventures of Alpin the control monster continue. Boring.
Liu is trying to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Alpin controls the action.
Alpin is hanging on to Liu's back as he tries to escape.
Alpin keeps control of the position easily here as Liu tries to buck him off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Alpin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
More stalling from Alpin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Liu wants to control his opponent's hands but Alpin gets his hands free.
Alpin is trying to stick to Liu's back but Liu is turning into Alpin. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alpin's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Liu.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Liu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Liu looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Alpin is controlling Liu's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

David Alpin dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Alpin lands a hook that snaps the head of Liu backwards.
Alpin presses Liu against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Alpin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Liu tries for a takedown. No joy.
Alpin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Liu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Alpin lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Liu.
Alpin digs a right hand underneath Liu's ribcage. Liu let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A nice right hand lands inside from Alpin.
Alpin creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Liu's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Liu drops to his knees and Alpin pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
