The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lato misses with a hook. Jonhson ducked under it nicely.
It looked like Jonhson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jonhson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lato cracks Jonhson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jonhson looks to score with a jab to the body but Lato is just out of range.

Lato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jonhson moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jonhson tests Lato's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lato ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lato connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Lato looks to score with a jab to the body but Jonhson is just out of range.
Lato ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jonhson moves away.
Lato throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jonhson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jonhson misses with a wild body shot.
Jonhson connects with a right hand. Lato shakes it off.
Jonhson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jonhson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lato manages to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Lato throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jonhson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lato moves away.
Lato lands a nice looking body shot.
Jonhson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch lands to the side of Jonhson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lato takes a swing at Jonhson's ribcage but misses.
Jon Jonhson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jonhson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lato was well out of range. Poor timing from Jonhson.
Lato uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jonhson.
Jonhson is looking to wear down Lato with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Lato avoids the body shot from Jonhson.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jonhson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Lato gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
