Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Davis (ranked 3555 p4p, 3404 weight class) and Ajax Jacker (ranked 428 p4p, 417 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ajax Jacker!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacker shoots for a takedown but Davis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet.
Davis missing with a left hand there. Jacker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Davis moves into range and clinches up with Jacker.
Jacker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Davis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Danny Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ajax Jacker.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Davis.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Davis.
Jacker fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jacker tries to score a body lock takedown but Davis shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Jacker tries to pull guard but Davis forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Davis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Davis lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jacker.

Jacker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Davis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Davis goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jacker has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Davis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jacker jumps into guard, dragging Davis to the mat.
Davis won't allow Jacker to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacker controls Davis momentarily but Davis frees himself.
Davis looking to sit in guard and control but Jacker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jacker throws a big elbow that misses.
Jacker distracts Davis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jacker working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Davis has Jacker pulled in close to control his posture.
Jacker lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Davis keeping moving, preventing Jacker from controlling successfully.
Davis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Davis is pulling down on Jacker's head to control his posture.
Jacker distracts Davis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jacker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Davis's head.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacker on the ground.

Jacker drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Jacker off! Jacker jumps back into Davis's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jacker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Davis controls Jacker momentarily but Jacker frees himself.
Jacker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jacker won't allow Davis to sweep him here.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jacker cracks Davis with a solid left hand.
Jacker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jacker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Davis keeping moving, preventing Jacker from controlling successfully.
Davis controls Jacker momentarily but Jacker frees himself.

Jacker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jacker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jacker trying to control the position from guard on top but Davis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Davis misses the body punch

and Jacker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Davis's guard.

Davis pushes Jacker off and gets back to his feet.
Jacker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davis as he avoids it easily.
Jacker has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Davis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As Jacker tries to get set, Davis tries to push him back and clinch up but Jacker manages to avoid the attempt.
Danny Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davis tries to clinch but Jacker moves out of range.
Davis lands a glancing blow to the side of Jacker's head.

Davis has managed to clinch.

Jacker pulls guard effortlessly.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Davis dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Davis tries to clinch up but Jacker circles away and keeps his distance.
Jacker feints the counter takedown.

Jacker moves into the clinch.
Davis pushes Jacker back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
I was talking to Davis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jacker is trying to pull guard but Davis turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Davis lands an uppercut.
Davis tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jacker's elbow.
Davis scores with a shoulder strike.
Davis lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jacker or not.
Jacker is trying to pull guard but Davis has him pressed against the cage.
Davis digs a right hand underneath Jacker's ribcage. Jacker let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Danny Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ajax Jacker.
Davis presses Jacker against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacker ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jacker no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Davis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jacker can do to turn this around?
Davis is stalling in the full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jacker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jacker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there.
Davis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jacker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ajax Jacker has got the better of the ground game so far.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Davis digs a good hook to Jacker's body.
Jacker swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis.
Davis moves in looking to clinch but Jacker pushes him off.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jacker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Davis instigates a clinch.
Jacker wants a takedown.
Davis pushes Jacker back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Davis tries to throw a body punch but Jacker avoids it by throwing Davis back against the cage.
Jacker tries to pull guard but Davis won't allow it.
Davis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Davis lands with a right to the head.

Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jacker fails with the takedown.
Jacker shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Jacker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis is not content to let Jacker control the position.

Davis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jacker connects with a nice short shot to Davis's temple.
Jacker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Davis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jacker thows a huge punch but Davis dodges it nicely.
Jacker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Davis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jacker fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Davis manages to avoid it.

Jacker scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Jacker tries to score with some ground and pound. Davis controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Jacker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jacker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Davis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Davis tries to get out of the position.
Jacker creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Davis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jacker lands a nice forearm strike.

Jacker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Davis parries the strikes from Jacker easily there. Jacker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Davis to escape.

Davis is looking for a sweep.

Jacker working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Jacker creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Davis is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jacker connects with a decent elbow.

Davis is rocked!
Jacker crunches a massive hammerfist down on Davis - he's out! Jacker Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ajax Jacker!
An out of breath and clearly excited Ajax Jacker thanked Neon Zombie for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
