PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Suico (ranked 24980 p4p, 24705 weight class) and Johnson Henry (ranked 598 p4p, 606 weight class). Suico comes to the cage accompanied by Kick in the Door. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Suico backs up against the cage.
Henry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Henry throws a right hand that Suico ducks under and follows up with a left that Suico also avoids with ease.
Henry avoids a punch combination nicely.
Henry slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Henry closes the distance and clinches up with Suico, looking for a takedown. Henry pushes Suico against the cage but Suico circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Henry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Henry counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Suico appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Henry slips a straight right by Suico.
A looping hook to the body misses from Suico. Henry does a little dance to reset his feet.

Suico swings for the body but Henry moves out of range.
Johnson Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suico checks a low kick from Henry.
Suico half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Henry lands a two punch combo.
Henry lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Suico at a distance.
Henry throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Suico.
Suico misses the shot to the body.
Suico misses with a wild body shot.
Henry scores with a punch to the head.
Henry is looking to chop away at Suico's legs.

Henry rushes Suico and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Suico manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Henry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Henry wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Suico's closed guard. He's half up but Suico has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Suico pivots and extends the arm, Henry falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Suico! Well done that man!
