Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Komedor DKasada (ranked 1135 p4p, 3188 weight class) and Andre Mith (ranked 170 p4p, 444 weight class). Komedor DKasada has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Komedor DKasada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Mith!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DKasada scores with a punch to the head.

It looks like Andre Mith has been cut.
Mith misses with an uppercut. DKasada saw that one coming.
DKasada listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
DKasada misses with a wild body shot.
It seemed like Mith was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
DKasada throws a body shot but no joy.
DKasada uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
DKasada loads up on a big right hand but Mith slips the punch.
DKasada throws a jab but it's blocked by Mith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DKasada thows a left - swing and a miss!
DKasada fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mith manages to avoid it.
Mith misses with a right hand
enabling DKasada to counter with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DKasada misses with a right hand
and DKasada takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
DKasada looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Mith ducks under a wild hook from DKasada.
DKasada is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mith.
Mith feints the counter takedown.

Mith scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mith in particular looking to stall.
Mith trying to mount his opponent but DKasada defends it.
Mith is taking a breather. DKasada says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
DKasada wants to stand back up but Mith manages to pass into side control.
Mith throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Mith prevents DKasada from escaping the position.
Mith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
DKasada trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Mith trying to control the position but DKasada is working away.
Mith looking to control but instead DKasada has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
DKasada looks like he's trying to stand up.
Mith tries to pass the half guard into mount. DKasada knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
DKasada keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Mith is working for a submission of some sort.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DKasada's head.
DKasada on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if DKasada tries to get out of the position.
DKasada is trying to stand up here but Mith is controlling him well.
Mith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mith is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mith works his foot free and advances to mount.
DKasada is trying to stand up.
DKasada knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mith on the ground.
Mith punching from mount but DKasada doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Mith looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

DKasada is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Mith working for a guillotine from mount but DKasada is in no mood to give up.
Mith is trying to take his opponent's back.

DKasada is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Mith locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! DKasada is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andre Mith!
