PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Wahab (ranked 4276 p4p, 4099 weight class) and Kendall Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 506 weight class). Wahab's entrance music is Ghost. A fine choice. Boone is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: "This Fire" Killswitch Engage. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wahab misses with a takedown attempt - Boone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boone has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wahab.
Wahab fails to land the takedown.
Boone steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Wahab.
Wahab throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Boone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wahab's guard.

Wahab is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Wahab tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boone smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Wahab. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wahab avoids it really well and circles away.

Wahab rushes Boone and presses him up against the cage.
Wahab really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boone tries to break free but Wahab pushes him back against the cage.
Boone stops a takedown attempt from Wahab.

Boone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Wahab stays in close to Boone's body and controls the position.

Wahab avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wahab will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Boone is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wahab frees his head nicely. Oh but Boone has switched to an armbar! Wahab is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
