Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bodie Helix (ranked 3150 p4p, 23278 weight class) and Vulfgang Takumi (ranked 352 p4p, 520 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bodie Helix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vulfgang Takumi!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix is looking to clinch but Takumi is avoiding it.
Helix slips under a jab from Takumi.
Takumi takes one to the side of the head.
Takumi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Helix tries to counter by clinching up but Takumi breaks away and moves out of range.
Helix connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Helix has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Takumi finds it's way round the side to connect with Helix's head.
Nice body kick there by Helix.
Takumi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Helix can pounce on him.
Takumi scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Helix doesn't seem bothered though.
Takumi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Helix.
Helix works Takumi's body with a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Helix is looking to slow Takumi down with leg kicks.
Helix has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Helix there as he acknowledges the shot.
Takumi slips a jab from Helix.

Takumi misses with a left hand

and Helix counters by clinching up.
Helix tries to score a body lock takedown but Takumi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Helix pulls guard.
Takumi sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Helix looking to hit a scissor sweep but Takumi is one step ahead there.
Helix controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takumi stays in close to Helix's body and controls the position.
Helix on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Helix tries to get out of the position.
Takumi wants to control from the top but Helix keeps moving.
Helix pulls Takumi in close to his closed guard and prevents Takumi from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Helix gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Helix looks to score with a jab to the body but Takumi is just out of range.
Takumi is looking for the big counter here.

Helix closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Takumi's face as he tries to break the clinch.
I was talking to Helix's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Helix misses with a punch on the inside.
Helix tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Helix.
Helix misses with some punches.
Helix tries to work over Takumi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Helix scores with a nice hook to the head.

Helix gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Takumi regains guard.
Takumi wants to stand and escape but Helix is having none of it.
Takumi has Helix pulled in close to control his posture.
Helix slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Helix looking to sit in guard and control but Takumi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Takumi wants to stand but Helix is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Takumi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Helix wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Helix has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Takumi has passed into side control.
Helix tries to bench press Takumi off him but Takumi keeps the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bodie Helix dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Helix staying out of range there.
Decent striking displayed by Helix there.
Takumi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Takumi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Helix. Helix obviously looking to wear him down.

Takumi cracks Helix with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Helix looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Takumi finish him?

Helix is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Takumi finds Helix's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Helix flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Takumi lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Helix will be OK.
