Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Totoy Kekman (ranked 23209 p4p, 22890 weight class) and Guy Leblond (ranked 259 p4p, 266 weight class). Guy Leblond is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Totoy Kekman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Guy Leblond!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kekman scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kekman lands with a thumping leg kick.

Leblond shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Leblond showed some decent athleticism there.
Leblond looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Leblond stands up from half guard.

Leblond shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kekman's guard.
Leblond tries to free his leg and advance position but Kekman is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leblond passes into half guard.
Well, if Leblond is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Leblond stops Kekman from getting back to his feet.
Leblond passes the guard and advances to mount!
Leblond tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
It looks like Leblond might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Leblond is continuing to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kekman is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Leblond is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kekman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kekman is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Kekman has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Kekman wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Leblond is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kekman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Can Kekman hold on?! Leblond is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Leblond controlling the positon.
Leblond connects with a big shot to the side of Kekman's head.

Leblond looking to break Kekman's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kekman remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Leblond will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Leblond lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Kekman.
Kekman is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Leblond scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Leblond lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Leblond.
Leblond really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kekman.
Leblond lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Kekman is rocked!
Leblond is punishing Kekman with strikes - can he finish him?!
Oh Kekman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leblond lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kekman covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kekman gets tackled into the cage by Leblond. Leblond maintains the clinch.

Leblond has closed the distance and engaged Kekman in a clinch.
Kekman tries to throw a body punch but Leblond avoids it by throwing Kekman back against the cage.
Kekman seems to have got his legs back now.

Leblond works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Leblond has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kekman wants to stand and escape but Leblond is having none of it.
Kekman wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Leblond manages to pass to side control.

Leblond is taking a breather. Kekman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kekman is looking to get back to is feet but Leblond passes into side control.
Kekman is trying to buck Leblond off.

Leblond goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kekman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Leblond but great work by Kekman.
Leblond is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Leblond's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kekman has control of an arm but Leblond manages to advance to Kekman's back!

I would not like to be Kekman right now.

Kekman is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kekman is trying to get back to his feet but Leblond has full control of the position and if anything, Kekman has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kekman is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Leblond gets his way!
Leblond has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kekman is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Leblond.

Leblond doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Totoy Kekman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Guy Leblond is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Leblond shoots in and bounces Kekman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Guy Leblond comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Leblond winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
