Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Nitro (ranked 4239 p4p, 23289 weight class) and Jalen Kendrick (ranked 518 p4p, 604 weight class). The key to victory for Jimmy Nitro has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendrick bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nitro's head backwards.
Kendrick pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nitro throws a leg kick but Kendrick sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kendrick avoids a kick to the body.
Kendrick tries to counter with a clinch but Nitro shakes him off and moves away.

and Kendrick decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nitro's guard.

Nitro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kendrick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nitro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nitro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nitro postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Kendrick dodges the ground and pound from Nitro.
Kendrick stops Nitro from passing to mount.
Kendrick is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nitro frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Nitro looking to control but Kendrick is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kendrick is desperately trying to improve his position but Nitro has a good base and remains in mount.

Nitro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kendrick!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nitro unloads with some shots from mount but Kendrick bucks and avoids them well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Kendrick avoids the body shot from Nitro.
Kendrick blocks the body kick.
Nitro misses the shot to the body.
Nitro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kendrick can do to turn this around?
Nitro throws a nice looking combination but Kendrick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kendrick dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kendrick moves out of range as Nitro throws a body kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kendrick! But no joy.
Kendrick chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nitro can pounce on him.
Kendrick is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nitro looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A big left from Kendrick misses.
Kendrick digs a good body shot into Nitro's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kendrick is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nitro sees it coming and defends easily.
Kendrick looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Nitro is trying to maintain the position but Kendrick is very close to passing his half guard.
Kendrick keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kendrick is keen to just control but Nitro is a slippery customer.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nitro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Kendrick postures up in Nitro's guard and throws a big left but Nitro blocks it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nitro scores with a head kick. Kendrick tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Nitro takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Kendrick wants to clinch up but Nitro keeps it at a distance.
Nitro throwing a counter right hand but Kendrick manages to avoid it.
A head kick misses from Nitro.
Kendrick looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kendrick dives in for a single leg takedown but Nitro sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kendrick drops his hands momentarily and Nitro takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Nitro cracks Kendrick with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nitro has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kendrick to stand back up!

Kendrick is rocked!
Kendrick leaves his chin hanging out and Nitro seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kendrick crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Jimmy Nitro took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
Jalen Kendrick was interviewed post fight and said 'Sorry for the loss, I'm going to keep training and come back stronger. I'm not going anywhere, but sorry to my mom if she is still watching.'.
