Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dagestani Wrestler (ranked 4239 p4p, 1924 weight class) and Euan Daxton (ranked 486 p4p, 260 weight class). Daxton is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mr Brightside. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrestler fails with the takedown
and Daxton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Dagestani Wrestler has been cut.

Daxton drives through and clinches with Wrestler against the cage.
Daxton lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Daxton prevents a takedown attempt there.
Daxton lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Wrestler misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Daxton.
Wrestler changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Daxton fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dagestani Wrestler. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Daxton moves into range and clinches up with Wrestler.

and Daxton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Daxton darts in and clinches Wrestler up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wrestler wants to take the fight to the mat but Daxton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Daxton lands a hook that snaps the head of Wrestler backwards.
A body shot lands from Daxton.

Daxton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Daxton lands a slapping body shot.
Wrestler is breathing heavily.

Wrestler tries to keep at a distance but Daxton has taken the fight into the clinch.
Daxton is struggling to control the position.

and Daxton counters with a nice right hand that sends Wrestler toppling to the canvas! Wrestler scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Daxton finish him?!
