PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cynical Christoph (ranked 405 p4p, 127 weight class) and Matija Maestro (ranked 56 p4p, 17 weight class). Maestro is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shortwire - Reconfig. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Cynical Christoph!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matija Maestro!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maestro scores with a body shot.
Christoph takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Maestro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Christoph looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Maestro throws a good cross that connects.
Maestro throws a shot from downtown. Christoph moves away and avoids it.
Christoph is looking for a counter combo.
Christoph throws a body punch but Maestro moves out of range.

Maestro drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Cynical Christoph will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Matija Maestro.
Well Maestro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
