PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugus Amiga (ranked 24415 p4p, 24433 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Salvacion looking to score a takedown here. Amiga is defending well but Salvacion drives through and ends up in Amiga's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Amiga holds on and takes a little breather.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Amiga.
Despite the aggression on Salvacion's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Salvacion fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Amiga to the ground. Salvacion is now in Amiga's guard.

Amiga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salvacion as he jumps to the side.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Amiga.
And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time.

Horrible takedown attempt by Amiga or perhaps it was just good defense by Salvacion, which made it look bad.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kugus Amiga will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Amiga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salvacion sprawls well. Salvacion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.

Amiga throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Salvacion was covering up waiting for the punch and Amiga finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Amiga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Salvacion sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Amiga somewhat.
Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well.

Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
