The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Baydar sprawls well initially but Santos persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Baydar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Baydar has control of Santos's left arm, preventing Santos from doing any damage.

Baydar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santos drops back looking for a leg! Baydar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Baydar manages to kick Santos off! Santos jumps back into Baydar's guard.

Baydar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Santos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Santos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Baydar wants to sweep here but Santos controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Santos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Santos won't allow Baydar to get back to his feet.
Santos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos is pushing down on Baydar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Baydar is fighting to maintain full guard but Santos has managed to sneak the leg through.

Santos is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Baydar is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
