Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kojo Sarpong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunther Victory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarpong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, HellRazor. Kojo Sarpong has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunther Victory!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarpong waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Victory. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Victory to the canvas! Can he finish him!?


It looks like Gunther Victory has been cut.
Victory should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Victory preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Victory working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sarpong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sarpong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Victory is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Victory throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sarpong's waist but Sarpong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Victory off to one side.
Kojo Sarpong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sarpong wants to get back to striking at distance but Victory won't allow it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Victory takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

No joy there for Sarpong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Victory fails to land the takedown.
Sarpong blocks a head kick by Victory.
Sarpong misses with a two punch combination.
Victory misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kojo Sarpong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunther Victory.

Oooh a lovely combination from Sarpong sends Victory down but not out. Sarpong dives into side control looking to finish.

Sarpong's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Victory seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sarpong can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Victory is looking to escape.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kojo Sarpong just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Victory takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Victory looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sarpong is fending him off so far but Victory persists. Nope, Sarpong circles away and we're back to standing.

Victory has his foot on Sarpong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sarpong works his way back into a safe position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Sarpong fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Victory on the side of the head.
Victory slips a jab from Sarpong.
Sarpong throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Victory fails to land the takedown.
Sarpong misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sarpong lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Victory sprawling to the canvas. Sarpong follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Victory hang on?
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Victory is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sarpong won't let Victory get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Victory stands up and waves to Sarpong to follow him.
Sarpong stuffs the takedown attempt from Victory. Victory gets slowly back to his feet.
Victory is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sarpong.

Victory tries to get the hooks in deep but Sarpong pushed the leg off.

Victory changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sarpong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Victory is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sarpong is trying to escape and Victory transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sarpong is forced to tap! Nice work there by Victory! Very nice indeed!
