Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Askren (ranked 1167 p4p, 1088 weight class) and Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu (ranked 57 p4p, 54 weight class). Fukumitsu has chosen Can You Feel My Heart as his entrance music. Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Askren avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fukumitsu's coach down at Gold Samurai's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Fukumitsu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Askren seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Fukumitsu slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fukumitsu cracks Askren with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Fukumitsu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Askren to stand back up!

Askren wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fukumitsu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Askren had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Askren feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fukumitsus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Askren comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Askren is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
and Fukumitsu counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Askren! He's just covering up as Fukumitsu starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu!
