PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kree P Krawlee (ranked 1784 p4p, 1598 weight class) and Hans Hermann Hoppe (ranked 232 p4p, 214 weight class). Krawlee's entrance music is Sail. A fine choice. Hoppe has chosen Wind of Change as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Hans Hermann Hoppe looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kree P Krawlee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Hermann Hoppe!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krawlee cracks Hoppe with a right hand to the side of the head.

Hoppe gets caught flat footed, as Krawlee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Krawlee stands up and waves to Hoppe to follow him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoppe enables Krawlee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoppe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hoppe looking for a sweep. Not yet Hoppe, not yet.

Krawlee stands up and waves to Hoppe to follow him.

Hoppe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krawlee as he avoids it easily.

Krawlee shoots in and bounces Hoppe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krawlee wants to pass the guard but Hoppe is keeping the position.

Hoppe wants to sweep but no luck.

Krawlee decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hoppe, up you get!
Krawlee throws a hook but Hoppe avoids it easily.
Hoppe feints the counter takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hoppe. Krawlee does a little dance to reset his feet.

Krawlee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hoppe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoppe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Krawlee moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Krawlee is looking to take a break and control but Hoppe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Krawlee goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hoppe rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Krawlee's guard! Nice work there by Hoppe!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hoppe tries to free his leg and advance position but Krawlee is retaining full guard.
Hoppe must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Krawlee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hoppe looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Hoppe is not content to let Krawlee control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hoppe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Krawlee passes the guard and advances to mount!

Hoppe moves out of range of the strikes.
Hoppe drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Krawlee defends it well.
Krawlee wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Krawlee's corner calls for a 1-2. Krawlee obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Krawlee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hoppe drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Krawlee defends it well.

Krawlee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hoppe was well out of range. Poor timing from Krawlee.
Hoppe throws a body punch but Krawlee moves out of range.

Krawlee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hoppe napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kree P Krawlee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Krawlee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hoppe has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hoppe is trying to control Krawlee's posture but Krawlee avoids it.

Krawlee decides to stand back up. Krawlee steps back and let's Hoppe get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Krawlee swings for the body but Hoppe moves out of range.
Krawlee looks to land a left hand but Hoppe moved out of range nicely.
Hoppe wants to counter with a clinch but Krawlee pushes him away.
Krawlee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hoppe.
Krawlee lands a right hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Krawlee feints and as Hoppe raises his hands in defense, Krawlee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Krawlee stands up and beckons Hoppe to his feet.

Krawlee closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hoppe quickly recovers to half guard.
Hoppe is breathing heavily.

Krawlee decides to stand up.

Krawlee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hoppe's half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Krawlee in particular looking to stall.
Krawlee is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hoppe wants to hold on but Krawlee pushes him away.

Krawlee stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Krawlee connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hoppe connects with a body shot that sends Krawlee's belly button to the back.

Krawlee misses with an uppercut. Hoppe saw that one coming.

Krawlee shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Krawlee wants to free his trapped foot but Hoppe is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hoppe is trying to get back to full guard.
Krawlee passes to side control.
Krawlee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hoppe keeps working.

Krawlee decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Krawlee throws a hook to the side of Hoppe's head but Hoppe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hoppe drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Krawlee defends it well.

Hoppe moves into the clinch successfully.
Hoppe has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Krawlee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Krawlee is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hoppe can't fight it off and eventually Krawlee manages to take the fight to the floor. Hoppe looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

And Hoppe tries to counter it with a takedown but Krawlee pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Krawlee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
