Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ghasem Zahari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Karelin!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The crowd cheers as Zahari lands an impressive looking overhand right. Karelin doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Brock Karelin has been cut.

Karelin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zahari on his heels. He'll look to pass Zahari's guard now, I'm sure.
Zahari wants to stand and escape but Karelin is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karelin stops Zahari from standing up.
Karelin works over Zahari with some ground and pound from guard.
Zahari definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zahari wants to get back to his feet but Karelin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Karelin stands up over Zahari, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Karelin stands and throws Zahari's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Zahari tries to escape but Karelin is in control.

Zahari trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Karelin has hold of Zahari's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zahari seems comfortable defending it but Karelin has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zahari is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zahari is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Karelin couldn't care less - he's delighted!
