The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Minasian.
Minasian shoots in for a takedown but Justis shows good takedown defense.
It looked like Justis was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Minasian.
Minasian shoots in looking for a takedown. Justis tries to sprawl out of it but Minasian keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Justis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Justis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Justis swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Minasian looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Justis is fending him off so far but Minasian persists. Nope, Justis circles away and we're back to standing.
Tigran Minasian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Minasian closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Justis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Justis wants it to stay on the feet.
Minasian takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Justis connects with a body shot that sends Minasian's belly button to the back.
Minasian drops his hands momentarily and Justis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Justis counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Justis darts in and clinches Minasian up against the cage.
Minasian has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Justis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A nice left hand lands by Justis.

Justis lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
