Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Bronson (ranked 221 p4p, 174 weight class) and Kento Kawamata (ranked 36 p4p, 32 weight class). Bronson comes to the cage accompanied by Glass Candy. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kento Kawamata was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Kento Kawamata!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Kawamata.

It looks like Don Bronson has been cut.
Bronson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kawamata manages to avoid it.
Kawamata throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bronson looks to throw the jab but Kawamata is out of range.
Kawamata stalks Bronson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bronson's face. Bronson staggers backwards, shaken.
Kawamata throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bronson counters with a stiff right hand.
Kawamata ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kawamata misses with a body kick.
Bronson moves forwards but Kawamata connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kawamata throws a jab when Bronson was well out of range.
Kawamata misses with a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Bronson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kawamata.

Bronson blocks the body kick.
Kawamata connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bronson. Bronson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bronson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kawamata throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bronson throws a quick counter head kick but Kawamata was just out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kawamata. Bronson shrugs it off though.
Kawamata tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bronson was well out of range. Poor timing from Kawamata.
Kawamata throws a sloppy head kick and Bronson moves out of range easily.

and Bronson counters with a nice uppercut.
Kawamata uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bronson.
Bronson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kawamata finds it's way round the side to connect with Bronson's head.

Bronson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kawamata.
Bronson throws a jab when Kawamata was well out of range.
Kawamata lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bronson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kawamata lands the left hand.

and Bronson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kawamata throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Bronson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A low kick lands for Bronson.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kawamata. Bronson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kawamata scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Bronson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kawamata lands the left hand.
Kawamata misses the body punch
and Bronson counters with a stiff right hand.
Kawamata is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bronson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Bronson throws a body punch but Kawamata moves out of range.
Kawamata uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Don Bronson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kawamata tries to land a front kick but Bronson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kawamata ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bronson moves away.

Kawamata looks to land a left hand but Bronson moved out of range nicely.
Bronson throws a right hand that misses
and Kawamata counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kawamata misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bronson counters with a good, hard body kick but Kawamata shrugs it off.
Both fighters circling a little - Bronson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kawamata looks winded!
Bronson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kawamata.
Kawamata throws an off balance right hand
and Bronson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kento Kawamata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bronson scores with a decent looking hook.
Kawamata pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and Bronson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kawamata really felt that one!

Kawamata takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kawamata has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bronson.
Bronson lands a leg kick that knocks Kawamata off balance momentarily.

Kawamata throws a right hand that misses
and Kawamata takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kawamata misses with an uppercut
and Bronson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kawamata lands a jab to Bronson's midsection.
Kawamata misses with a shot to the body

and Bronson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kawamata! Bronson lets Kawamata back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Kawamata is still on wobbly legs! Can Bronson finish him?

Kawamata has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bronson.
Kawamata throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Bronson rattles Kawamata with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kawamata tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Bronson dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kawamata stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Don Bronson!
Don Bronson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
