Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quinan Jones (ranked 5174 p4p, 2727 weight class) and Ronaldo Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 79 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quinan Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronaldo Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gomes gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard.
Gomes controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gomes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones pulls Gomes in close to prevent any damage.
Gomes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gomes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gomes wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Gomes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gomes somewhat.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gomes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gomes throws a lazy right hand but Jones sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Quinan Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gomes lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab lands there for Jones.
Gomes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Gomes misses with a body shot.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
Gomes drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jones defends it well.
Jones misses with a hook. Gomes ducked under it nicely.
Gomes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
The fighters circling - Gomes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It looked like Jones wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Quinan Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronaldo Gomes.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A quick step to the side and Jones tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jones throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Gomes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Gomes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Gomes ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gomes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Gomes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gomes on the side of the head.
A slow jab from Gomes misses its intended target.
Gomes looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Jones cracks Gomes with a hook to the temple - Gomes is on wobbly legs here! Jones swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Gomes falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Jones wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Quinan Jones!
