Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamari Lexington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bate Pepo!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lexington closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pepo circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Pepo. Those never looked like landing.
Pepo closes the distance and clinches.
Pepo lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Pepo lands with a short shot to the head.
Lexington's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Lexington jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pepo walks away with a smile on his face. Lexington gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A jab from Pepo does it's job there.
Lexington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lexington misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamari Lexington. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lexington shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pepo but Pepo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pepo connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Lexington to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Pepo!
