Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Dooley (ranked 4467 p4p, 25259 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick Dooley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiang tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Dooley scores with a nice strike.
Dooley is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dooley tries a head kick but it misses.
Dooley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kiang is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Dooley throws a low kick but Kiang moves out of range easily.
Kiang shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dooley fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kiang on the side of the head.

Kiang walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Dooley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kiang moves away.
Dooley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dooley lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kiang has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kiang and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kiang has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dooley.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Some bone on bone action there as Kiang checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Dooley throws a nice looking combination but Kiang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kiang is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dooley's half guard.

Dooley has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kiang is on him like a limpet, forcing Dooley back against the cage.

Kiang turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kiang manages to end up in side control.

And Kiang responds with a good body kick, but Dooley manages to step out the way in time.

Kiang replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Dooley blocks it well.

Kiang on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kiang sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Dooley throws a low kick but Kiang avoids it.
And Kiang responds with a good body kick, but Dooley manages to step out the way in time.

Donk. Dooley catches Kiang right on the button with a cross.

Kiang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dooley has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kiang has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Dooley wants to break the clinch but can't.

Dooley is trying to push Kiang away but Kiang has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dooley has had enough of the clinch but Kiang keeps him there for the moment.

Kiang gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Kiang's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Dooley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dooley lands a leg kick that knocks Kiang off balance momentarily.
Dooley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kiang.
Yawa Kiang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dooley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Patrick Dooley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kiang has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dooley.
Dooley lands a leg kick that knocks Kiang off balance momentarily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dooley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
