Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Black (ranked 91 p4p, 986 weight class) and Liko Dares (ranked 16 p4p, 143 weight class). Dares is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Saw the Sign. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Liko Dares has been cut.
Black wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dares looks to clinch

Dares pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dares closes the distance but Black moves to the side

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dares does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A quick step to the side and Black tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Black feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Daress jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dares looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Black checks a leg kick.
Black swings for the body but Dares moves out of range.

Black cracks Dares with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Black has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dares to stand back up!

Black lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

And Dares tries to counter it with a takedown but Black pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Dares's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Black connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dares scrambles back to his feet.

That has opened up Liko Dares's cut even more.

Black loads up on a big right hand but Dares slips the punch.
Dares ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Black misses with a wild body shot.
Black moves into range and connects with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Black dips a shoulder and cracks Dares with a mighty uppercut! Dares falls back against the cage and Black unloads with a barrage of strikes! Dares is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Black screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
