The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Akkaynak coming out on top.
Boo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Akkaynak half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
A jab from Boo misses.
Akkaynak scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boo in his tracks.
Akkaynak walks into a left hand.
Boo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Akkaynak slips under a jab from Boo.
Akkaynak appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Akkaynak shoots in and bounces Boo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Boo wants to get back to his feet but Akkaynak passes into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akkaynak lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Akkaynak.
Well, if Akkaynak is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Boo keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Akkaynak uses his free foot to push down on Boo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Boo.
Akkaynak is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Akkaynak with shots to the head and body - Boo looks very uncomfortable down there.
Boo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akkaynak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Akkaynak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boo is looking to escape.
We've been hearing that Akkaynak has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
