The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDonnell throws a lazy right hand but Hendrikx sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hendrikx gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McDonnell tries to throw a body punch but Hendrikx avoids it by throwing McDonnell back against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by McDonnell as Hendrikx tries to tie him up.
McDonnell lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hendrikx misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hendrikx tries a body shot but McDonnell blocks it.

McDonnell creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Hendrikx's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Hendrikx drops to his knees and McDonnell pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
