Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morrison Dickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Tate!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickson cracks Tate with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Tate is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Tate is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!
That has opened up William Tate's cut even more.
Dickson loads up on a big right hand but Tate slips the punch.
Dickson looks to land a combination but Tate avoids it well.
Tate tries to counter with a clinch but Dickson shakes him off and moves away.
Tate looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dickson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dickson throws an off balance right hand
and Tate counters with a three punch combo that has Dickson backing up. Dickson nods at Tate to acknowledge the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dickson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dickson scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Tate to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Dickson away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Tate got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Tate is rocked!
The cut above William Tate's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A big left from Dickson misses.
Tate is still on wobbly legs! Can Dickson finish him?
Dickson loads up on a big right hand but Tate slips the punch.
Dickson throws a hook to the side of Tate's head but Tate sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tate tries to get into range but Dickson steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Tate! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Dickson scores the big KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Morrison Dickson!
During a confident post fight interview, Morrison Dickson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
