The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Heelan. Hilton Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hilton Jr is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Heelan.
Heelan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hilton Jr backs up against the cage.

and Hilton Jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Heelan's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hilton Jr postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Heelan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hilton Jr, into his guard.
Hilton Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Heelan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Heelan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hilton Jr has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
