Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ian Bigg (ranked 2359 p4p, 3724 weight class) and Shawn Low (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Low!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Low misses with a lunging right hand
and Bigg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Bigg makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Low throws a hook but Bigg blocks it.
As Low looks to move away, Bigg throws a big counter combo but Low just gets out of the way.
Low misses with a left hand
and Bigg counters with a stiff right hand.
Low keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bigg closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Low did well to prevent Bigg getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bigg in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Low tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bigg!
