Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sanjay Segreti!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jensen connects with a looping right hand.
Segreti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jensen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Segreti moves in looking to clinch but Jensen pushes him off.
Jensen misses with a body kick.
We've been told by Jensen's head coaches at Iron Sharpens Iron that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Jensen drops his shoulder and cracks Segreti with a huge uppercut! Segreti goes down! Can Jensen finish him?

Segreti is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jensen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Segreti's head.
Segreti is still in real trouble! Can Jensen finish him?
Jensen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Segreti keeping moving, preventing Jensen from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jensen postures up and lands a big shot to Segreti's brow.

Jensen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jensen wants to pass the guard but Segreti is keeping the position.
Jensen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Segreti wants to get back to his feet but Jensen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jensen trying to control the position from guard on top but Segreti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jensen scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jensen won't allow Segreti to get back to his feet.
Jensen wants to pass the guard but Segreti is keeping the position.
Segreti seems to have recovered his senses.
Segreti wants to stand up but Jensen is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jensen trying to control the position from guard on top but Segreti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Segreti being controlled here, momentarily.
Jensen trying to control but Segreti is working from the bottom.
Segreti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jensen is controlling him.
Jensen sitting in guard here, content to control.
Segreti is looking to stand up but Jensen isn't so interested in that idea.

Jensen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jensen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Segreti has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jensen has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jensen tries to break the clinch but Segreti is controlling the position.

Jensen breaks from the clinch.
Segreti moves away from the strike by Jensen.
Segreti is looking for the big counter here.
Segreti tries to clinch but Jensen moves out of range.
Segreti wants to clinch.
Segreti is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Jensen loads up on a big right hand but Segreti slips the punch.
Segreti showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jensen.
Jensen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A punch combination from Jensen misses.
Jensen scores with a punch to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jensen clobbers Segreti with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jensen connects with the punch.

Segreti closes the distance and clinches.
Jensen is trying to break the clinch but Segreti is controlling him.

Jensen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jensen shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Segreti takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Jensen sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Segreti bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kevin Jensen!
Kevin Jensen was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
