Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nord Licht (ranked 2393 p4p, 2307 weight class) and Roman Zhdanov (ranked 313 p4p, 302 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Licht might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Heavy Metal we will die!. Zhdanov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Малиновая Лада (Raspberry Lada) by Gayazov$ Brother$. Roman Zhdanov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roman Zhdanov!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurstrm and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Licht throws a hook to the side of Zhdanov's head but Zhdanov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Zhdanov! But no joy.
Zhdanov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Zhdanov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Zhdanov throws out a counter right but Licht avoids it with no problem.
Licht throws a wild body kick that Zhdanov sees coming a mile off.
Zhdanov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Licht sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Licht throws a right hand that misses
and Zhdanov counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Licht thows a left - swing and a miss!
Licht throws a head kick that misses
and Licht takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Nord Licht has been cut.
Licht lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Licht throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zhdanov tries to move into range but Licht moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Zhdanov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Zhdanov.
Licht connects with an inside leg kick.
Licht connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zhdanov momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Licht misses with a body kick.
Zhdanov walks into a jab.
That kick from Licht tenderised Zhdanov's leg. Zhdanov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Licht looks to score with a jab to the body but Zhdanov is just out of range.
Licht misses the shot to the body.
Licht throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Zhdanov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Zhdanov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nord Licht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Licht is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zhdanov.
Zhdanov throws out a counter right but Licht avoids it with no problem.
Zhdanov misses with an uppercut. Licht saw that one coming.
Zhdanov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Zhdanov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Licht walks into a jab.
Licht throws a push kick but Zhdanov slaps the foot to one side.
Zhdanov swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Licht lands a front kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Licht misses with a double jab.
Zhdanov lands with a straight right. Licht didn't see that one coming.
Nord Licht's cut is getting worse.
Licht thows a leg kick but Zhdanov checks it
and Zhdanov counters with a big right hand! Oh Licht is in trouble here! Zhdanov follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roman Zhdanov!
Roman Zhdanov bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
