Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Higgins (ranked 363 p4p, 176 weight class) and Leonzar Kennedy (ranked 55 p4p, 28 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Higgins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leonzar Kennedy! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Higgins misses with a hook. Kennedy ducked under it nicely. Kennedy wants to counter the offense by Higgins and move into the clinch position. Kennedy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Higgins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Higgins lands with a shot to the body. Higgins misses with a series of wild punches.
Higgins misses with a lunging right hand
and Kennedy counters with a low kick, right behind Higgins 's knee. Higgins scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kennedy feints and then cracks Higgins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Higgins down. Higgins throws a lazy right hand but Kennedy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Higgins scores with a hook.
 It looks like Leonzar Kennedy has been cut. Lou Higgins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy connects with a leg kick. Higgins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Higgins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kennedy manages to avoid it. Higgins throws a right hand that misses
and Kennedy finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Higgins connects with an inside leg kick. Kennedy scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A big left from Higgins misses. It seemed like Kennedy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kennedy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Higgins misses with a looping right. Kennedy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kennedy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Higgins. Higgins swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Kennedy tries to land a front kick but Higgins steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. The fighters circling - Higgins throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Higgins lands with a thumping leg kick.
Higgins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Higgins throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kennedy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kennedy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy throws a predictable looking body shot
and Higgins counters with a straight right hand. Kennedy lands a leg kick that knocks Higgins off balance momentarily. Kennedy closes the distance looking to clinch and Higgins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Higgins drops Kennedy with a huge uppercut! Kennedy drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Higgins is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lou Higgins! After winning the bout, Lou Higgins thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
