Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between LaTroy Johnson (ranked 165 p4p, 476 weight class) and Jerome Steel (ranked 6 p4p, 17 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that LaTroy Johnson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily LaTroy Johnson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steel.
Steel's coach down at Punch Out Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A chopping leg kick lands by Steel.
Steel lets loose with a powerful body kick. Johnson will feel that in the morning.

It looks like Jerome Steel has been cut.
Johnson ducks under a wild hook from Steel.

Steel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab.
Steel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Steel.

Steel tries to score with a low kick but Johnson moves his leg out of the way.
Johnson feints and then cracks Steel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Steel down.

Jerome Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Steel looks winded!

Johnson cracks Steel with an uppercut from hell and Steel crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Johnson's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Johnson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Steel, up you get!

Steel ducks straight into an uppercut from Johnson and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Steel manages to regain guard straight away.
