Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Menshikov (ranked 811 p4p, 538 weight class) and Andreas Kohler (ranked 30 p4p, 19 weight class). Maxim Menshikov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andreas Kohler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maxim Menshikov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Andreas Kohler!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Topper Green and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menshikov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

so Kohler counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kohler won't allow Menshikov to sweep him here.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kohler working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Menshikov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Maxim Menshikov will probably get the nod.

Our winner, Andreas Kohler, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
