Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drummond turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Borgia lands a really nice looking cross but Drummond seems unphased.
Borgia dives in for a single leg takedown but Drummond sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Drummond's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Drummond has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Borgia working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
We've been hearing good reports from Borgia's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
