PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Imagine Thibodeaux (ranked 23843 p4p, 23492 weight class) and Onufry Zagloba (ranked 216 p4p, 219 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Imagine Thibodeaux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Onufry Zagloba!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zagloba tries to bum rush Thibodeaux with a series of wild strikes but Thibodeaux uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A good leg kick by Zagloba.

Thibodeaux throws out a head kick that Zagloba doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Zagloba crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Zagloba's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

Thibodeaux throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zagloba sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zagloba unleashes a big counter combination but Thibodeaux bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Zagloba dips to his left and cracks Thibodeaux with an uppercut!
Thibodeaux avoids the body shot from Zagloba.
That kick from Thibodeaux tenderised Zagloba's leg. Zagloba is trying to keep his angry face on.

Thibodeaux will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Some bone on bone action there as Zagloba checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Thibodeaux chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zagloba can pounce on him.
Zagloba rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thibodeaux moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Zagloba throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Thibodeaux ducks under a wild hook from Zagloba.

Thibodeaux lands a front kick to the face, that drops Zagloba to the canvas! Is he dazed or just shocked? He's back to his feet and the referee is going to allow him to continue the fight!
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters circle momentarily. Zagloba darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Thibodeaux throws a leg kick which misses Zagloba's front leg but catches the back leg as Zagloba tries to avoid it.

Zagloba scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Zagloba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thibodeaux has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Zagloba lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Thibodeaux moves out of range of the body kick.
Thibodeaux throws a chopping leg kick but Zagloba manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Onufry Zagloba seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Zagloba misses with an uppercut. Thibodeaux saw that one coming.
Thibodeaux is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Thibodeaux connects with a quick right hand that sends Zagloba tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
