Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Patrice Devereaux (ranked 2763 p4p, 3322 weight class) and Oshan Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrice Devereaux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oshan Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Devereaux clinches up against the cage.
Devereaux tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Devereaux jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Devereaux is on top in guard.

Jackson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Devereaux thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Devereaux controlling him for the moment.

Devereaux drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Devereaux jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jackson closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Patrice Devereaux has been cut.
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Devereaux.
Devereaux seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

You can see the frustration on Devereaux's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Oh Devereaux is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Devereaux, who protects the arm well.
Devereaux tries to bench press Jackson off him but Jackson keeps the position.

Devereaux is looking to improve his position.
Still in half guard, Jackson seems content to control.
Devereaux seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Devereaux tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jackson manages to circle out of the way.

Jackson throws a left that rocks Devereaux and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jackson dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Devereaux regain composure!
Devereaux is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Devereaux is not content to let Jackson control the position.

Devereaux has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Jackson. Oh but Devereaux has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Jackson goes limp - he's gone! Devereaux jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
