The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Makkonen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Makkonen lands a right hand.
The Russian Giant trying to stall but Makkonen improves his position.
Makkonen lands a nice uppercut.

Makkonen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. The Russian Giant can't fight it off and eventually Makkonen manages to take the fight to the floor. The Russian Giant looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The Russian Giant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Makkonen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Makkonen connects with a couple of short punches.
Makkonen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of The Russian Giant's head.

The Russian Giant can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Makkonen controls the pace.
Makkonen distracts The Russian Giant with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The Russian Giant is still in real trouble! Can Makkonen finish him?

Makkonen arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! The Russian Giant's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
