Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Bogo (ranked 2395 p4p, 3080 weight class) and Maruim Silva (ranked 258 p4p, 325 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maruim Silva!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bogo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Silva sprawls and moves away.
We've been told by Bogo's head coaches at JAG Battle Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bogo shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Bogo throws a head kick that misses.
Silva takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Silva wants to control but Bogo is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Silva tries to roll over but Bogo keeps him under control.
Bogo is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bogo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Silva preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Bogo shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Bogo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Horrible takedown attempt by Bogo or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva, which made it look bad.
A little jabbing left from Silva on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Bogo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bogo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bogo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bogo's back!

Silva really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bogo.
Bogo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Bogo wants to escape the position.
Silva has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bogo has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Silva has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Bogo is in real trouble here. Silva gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Bogo is tapping out! Silva wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Maruim Silva!
An out of breath Maruim Silva thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
