Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paco Gerte (ranked 4572 p4p, 4661 weight class) and Gakus Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerte misses with a wild body shot.
Amiga thinks about the counter body kick.
Gerte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Amiga moves away.

Gerte leaves Amiga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gerte gets caught napping as Amiga dives in and scores a takedown. Gerte manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gerte manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Amiga manages to get himself to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gerte is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Amiga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gerte. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gerte wants to get up but he can't break Amiga's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Amiga controls Gerte momentarily but Gerte frees himself.

Gerte throws a strike but Amiga rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Amiga not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gerte working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Gerte slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gerte is looking to advance position but Amiga has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Amiga avoids the attempt from Gerte to control.

Gerte slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Amiga is looking to take a break and control but Gerte is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gerte flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Gerte is holding on to half guard well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paco Gerte will probably get the nod.

Gerte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gerte cracks Amiga with a big right hand but Amiga just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Gerte is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Gerte takes a little break here. Amiga wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Gerte has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Amiga is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gerte yanks on the arm and Amiga is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gerte.
