Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ispa Perkele (ranked 642 p4p, 1139 weight class) and Nils Hoglander (ranked 92 p4p, 160 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoglander takes a swing at Perkele's ribcage but misses.
Hoglander scores with a one two! Perkele had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Hoglander stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Perkele.
Hoglander avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
It seemed like Hoglander was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Perkele attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Perkele throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Perkele moves into the clinch successfully.

The referee is keeping an eye on Perkele - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

I was talking to Perkele's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Perkele lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hoglander backwards.

Hoglander's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Perkele takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hoglander looks up at the clock. Bad move! Perkele lands a right hand from hell, dropping Hoglander. Perkele pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
